# Projects

Sixteen of them. Some are client work, some I built at work or with my own company, some I built for myself or my family, and three are school projects.

## All projects

Inventor and lead developer · Perfect Afternoon

### [PANoodle: AI Operations Platform](https://www.nathangamache.com/projects/panoodle/)

An internal platform that connects the team’s Claude or ChatGPT to more than 1,300 tools over MCP, tied to the agency’s client and website records, with a memory for every client and site and a ClickUp bot that scopes and runs the monthly maintenance. I invented and built it in 2026 and lead its development.

Technologies: MCP, Claude, AI agents, Postgres

Scope, development and launch

### [SJD Taxi Booking Platform](https://www.nathangamache.com/projects/sjd-taxi/)

I built and launched the website for a taxi and shuttle service in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico in 2023, working for them directly, and I have kept working on it since through Gamache Technology Solutions and Perfect Afternoon. In 2025 I took over an unfinished replacement for their 2015 booking system and turned it into a working one: a central booking hub, booking plugins that install on any site, HubSpot sync and Stripe checkout in five currencies. It now runs four sites.

Technologies: WordPress, PHP, TypeScript, React, Stripe

Co-founder · CatalogXpert

### [CatalogXpert: AI Sales Assistant Platform](https://www.nathangamache.com/projects/catalogxpert/)

A multi-tenant platform that hosts AI sales assistants for stores that sell technical products, added to a site with one script tag. Each store gets its own sales engine, and each store’s data is kept apart with PostgreSQL Row-Level Security. I co-founded CatalogXpert in March 2026 as a venture between JDW Ventures and Gamache Technology Solutions. I wrote the original demo and the first engine, for audio and AV, and the specs the platform was built from.

Technologies: Python, FastAPI, Postgres, Chroma, Claude

Senior capstone · Lawrence Technological University

### [Streaming Violence Anticipation System](https://www.nathangamache.com/projects/capstone/)

My solo senior capstone, from fall 2025 to May 2026, on warning before violence starts in video. In October 2026 I rebuilt its benchmark and tested each signal against fixed pass and fail rules. On footage held back until the end, it warned at least 30 seconds ahead for 23% of fights at under one false alarm an hour, against 4% for a baseline that sees no video. An outside test showed it recognizes fight footage rather than a fight building.

Technologies: PyTorch, SigLIP 2, Computer Vision, Evaluation

Deep Learning class · Spring 2026

### [Detroit Pulse: Live Incident Map from Scanner Radio](https://www.nathangamache.com/projects/detroit-pulse/)

A live map of public safety incidents in metro Detroit, which I built on my own for my Deep Learning class at Lawrence Tech in spring 2026. It transcribes public scanner radio with Whisper, has a local language model find the address and the kind of call, and groups transmissions about the same event into one incident. For the address step I built a QLoRA fine-tuning pipeline, trained a LoRA adapter with it and ran the fine-tuned model.

Technologies: Python, Whisper, Local LLMs, QLoRA, React

Machine Learning class · Fall 2025

### [Process and Outcome Reward Models for Small Language Models](https://www.nathangamache.com/projects/reward-models/)

An unpublished paper I co-wrote for my Machine Learning class in fall 2025. A 3B-parameter open model writes step-by-step solutions to math and logic questions, ChatGPT labels each step and each final answer as right or wrong, and we fine-tuned two 1.5B-parameter reward models on those labels to pick the best of several solutions. The step-level model scored 98% on its validation set.

Technologies: Python, Hugging Face Transformers, Reward models, Chain of thought

Lead developer · Perfect Afternoon

### [Corrigan Companies](https://www.nathangamache.com/projects/corrigan/)

An 11-site WordPress multisite for the Corrigan family of companies. I wrote the development scope, set up the environments and most of the sites, moved the network onto new servers twice, and launched four of its five live sites.

Technologies: WordPress, Multisite, DNS, Performance

### [Terminal Supply Co: Product Imports & AS400](https://www.nathangamache.com/projects/terminal-supply/)

I am the lead developer on Terminal Supply Co’s WooCommerce rebuild: the theme, the product importer and every category import, both sides of a REST integration with their AS400, and storefront features from tiered pricing to a custom product table.

Technologies: WooCommerce, AS400, PHP, Data imports

### [Cottage Inn: New Theme, Punchh Rewards & Yext Locations](https://www.nathangamache.com/projects/cottage-inn/)

I built the new theme from the client’s designs and launched it in February 2026, rebuilt the Punchh rewards integration from the ground up in 2023, rewrote the Find a Location script, and have looked after the Yext location pages since 2022.

Technologies: WordPress, Punchh, Yext, JavaScript

### [MJS Packaging: Tax Exemption, ERP Sync & Checkout](https://www.nathangamache.com/projects/mjs/)

Since 2024 I have changed how their WooCommerce store decides who is tax exempt, reworked the plugin that exchanges order and customer data with their ERP, added PO numbers to the order file, and sped up the cart and checkout.

Technologies: WooCommerce, Tax logic, ERP sync, PHP

Sole developer · Personal project

### [GamJo Cloud: Family Vacation App](https://www.nathangamache.com/projects/gamjo-cloud/)

A private app I built for my family’s summer vacations in a house we rent up north in Michigan. It keeps the plans we vote on, the expenses split between family groups, the receipts and the photos in one place, and we can install it on our phones. It is built on FastAPI and PostgreSQL with a React front end and hosted on my homelab. We used it in summer 2026 and will again in 2027.

Technologies: Python, FastAPI, Postgres, React, PWA

### [Homelab Server Infrastructure](https://www.nathangamache.com/projects/homelab/)

A server rack I run at home in Michigan: a web server, a game server and a NAS on two UPSs. The NAS runs TrueNAS SCALE, backups run every day, and the rack is secured with SSH keys, a firewall and a Tailscale VPN. This website and GamJo Cloud run from it, and Better Stack watches uptime and alerts me to outages.

Technologies: Linux, TrueNAS SCALE, RAID 1, Tailscale

### [Security, Performance & Site Health](https://www.nathangamache.com/projects/security-stack/)

Security, performance and site health work on client WordPress sites since 2022: Wordfence on nine rebuilds, a Content-Security-Policy at Cloudflare, a store’s mobile PageSpeed taken from 47 into the 90s, and GA4, Tag Manager and Search Console work.

Technologies: Security, Performance, Analytics, Cloudflare

High school capstone · rebuilt in 2026

### [3D Hand Gesture Recognition (HS Capstone)](https://www.nathangamache.com/projects/hand-gesture/)

A door lock you open with a sequence of hand gestures. It began as my high school senior capstone, built by a team of four with a depth camera and TensorFlow. In October 2026 I rebuilt it on my own, with a Kinect depth camera, a small PyTorch model and a servo, and it now works end to end in simulation.

Technologies: PyTorch, Kinect, Computer Vision, Python

Moderator, then administrator · The Outpost

### [The Outpost: Minecraft Server Admin & Plugins](https://www.nathangamache.com/projects/outpost/)

I started on The Outpost, a Minecraft server with about 10,000 players over the years, as a player and rose to moderator in 2019. After a few months away experimenting as a developer, I came back as an administrator in 2020. With the other admins I looked after the players, a staff of up to about 20, uptime and revenue. I also wrote plugins for it, including a bounty system and event leaderboards.

Technologies: Java, Spigot, Community, Staff management

Website and bot features · The Outpost

### [Baylee Discord Bot](https://www.nathangamache.com/projects/baylee/)

The Discord bot for The Outpost, a Minecraft server, from 2020 to 2021. The server’s owner built the bot. I built Baylee’s website myself, and added new commands and add-on features to the bot while I was very new to coding. It matched keywords against a large dictionary of words and pieced its replies together from templates, and it felt like AI before AI.

Technologies: Node.js, Express, MySQL, Discord API
