# I build WordPress and WooCommerce sites

I’m a CS student at Lawrence Tech and lead developer at Perfect Afternoon, and I run a small web dev shop called Gamache Technology Solutions. Outside of client work I spend a lot of time on ML research and keeping my homelab alive.

- Based in: **Michigan, USA**
- Studying: **Computer Science (AI), Lawrence Tech**
- Working at: **Perfect Afternoon**
- Since: **Jun 2022**

* **260+** active websites
* **100+** active clients
* **10+** servers

Sites, clients and servers I’ve worked on and managed at Perfect Afternoon, counting production, staging and development sites.

## Websites, servers and a research project

On my projects I own the code and the deployment, and our monthly audits keep watch on the upkeep.

Web development

### WordPress and WooCommerce sites

I’ve been at Perfect Afternoon since June 2022, lead developer since March 2026, building e-commerce platforms, corporate sites and franchise location pages, and I built SJD Taxi’s booking system through my own shop. I build them, deploy them, handle DNS and SSL on launch, and our monthly audits keep them healthy after that.

Technologies: WordPress, WooCommerce, PHP, ACF Pro

Infrastructure

### My homelab

I run three servers in a rack at home: a web server, a game server for friends and a NAS. This website runs from the rack. It’s where I practice Linux administration, networking and automation.

Technologies: Linux, Nginx, TrueNAS SCALE, Cloudflare

AI and machine learning

### AI tools and research

At work I invented and built [PANoodle](https://www.nathangamache.com/projects/panoodle/), the agency’s AI operations platform. At school, my senior capstone was a model that tried to flag violence in video before it started.

Technologies: Claude, MCP, PyTorch, Multimodal ML

## What I work with

- **WordPress**: I build client sites on it, from scoping through launch.
- **WooCommerce**: I build WooCommerce stores for agency clients.
- **Gutenberg**: I build ACF-powered Gutenberg blocks that editors can use without breaking the layout.
- **ACF Pro**: The fields behind my custom blocks, and the field groups for SJD Taxi’s zone pages.
- **PHP**: The SJD Taxi booking hub is all PHP.
- **JavaScript**: I built the service worker and the browser side of the push notifications for GamJo Cloud, my family’s vacation app, in plain JavaScript.
- **TypeScript**: The SJD Taxi booking form is TypeScript and React.
- **React**: I built the Stripe payment step of the SJD Taxi booking form in React, and the whole front end of GamJo Cloud, my family’s vacation app.
- **Node.js**: I built the website for Baylee, The Outpost’s Discord bot, on Node and Express.
- **Python**: The CatalogXpert platform, its first sales engine and its public site are Python, on FastAPI.
- **PyTorch**: I built Detroit Pulse’s QLoRA fine-tuning pipeline on PyTorch and trained its LoRA adapter with it; its Silero voice detection runs on PyTorch too.
- **TensorFlow**: Four of us used it with a depth camera for our high school gesture capstone.
- **MySQL**: Baylee’s website keeps its data in MySQL, and my Minecraft leaderboard plugin read its stats from it.
- **REST APIs**: I built the REST API that connects four SJD Taxi booking sites to their hub, and both sides of Terminal Supply’s AS400 integration.
- **Linux**: I practice Linux administration on my homelab, including its TrueNAS SCALE NAS.
- **Nginx**: My homelab web server runs Nginx with CloudPanel, serving this site and proxying my apps.
- **Docker**: CatalogXpert’s development setup runs PostgreSQL and Chroma in Docker containers.
- **RAID**: My homelab NAS mirrors its two 4 TB drives in RAID 1.
- **Cloudflare**: I deployed a client’s Content-Security-Policy as a Cloudflare response header rule.
- **Git**: I keep my code in Git, and this site deploys itself from its GitHub repository.

## A few things I’ve built

The ones I would show you first. There are sixteen in total if you want to dig around.

Inventor and lead developer · Perfect Afternoon

### [PANoodle: AI Operations Platform](https://www.nathangamache.com/projects/panoodle/)

The agency’s AI operations platform: the team’s Claude or ChatGPT, connected to more than 1,300 tools, with a memory for every client and site and a bot that runs the monthly maintenance. I invented and built it in 2026, and I am its lead developer.

Technologies: MCP, Claude, AI agents, Postgres

Scope, development and launch

### [SJD Taxi Booking Platform](https://www.nathangamache.com/projects/sjd-taxi/)

A taxi and shuttle service in Cabo San Lucas was still taking bookings through a plugin from 2015. I built and launched their site in 2023, then took over an unfinished replacement and turned it into a working system: one booking hub, HubSpot sync with no missed deals, and Stripe checkout. Four sites now book through it.

Technologies: WordPress, PHP, TypeScript, React, Stripe

Co-founder · CatalogXpert

### [CatalogXpert: AI Sales Assistant Platform](https://www.nathangamache.com/projects/catalogxpert/)

An AI sales assistant that stores selling technical products can add to their site with one script tag. I co-founded it in March 2026 as a venture between JDW Ventures and Gamache Technology Solutions. I wrote the original demo and the first sales engine, which builds audio and AV systems, and the specs the platform was built from.

Technologies: Python, FastAPI, Postgres, Chroma, Claude

Senior capstone · Lawrence Technological University

### [Streaming Violence Anticipation System](https://www.nathangamache.com/projects/capstone/)

My solo senior capstone, finished in May 2026 and rebuilt in October: a model that warns before violence starts in video, tested against a baseline that sees no video at all.

Technologies: PyTorch, SigLIP 2, Computer Vision, Evaluation

[View project: Streaming Violence Anticipation System](https://www.nathangamache.com/projects/capstone/)

Deep Learning class · Spring 2026

### [Detroit Pulse: Live Incident Map from Scanner Radio](https://www.nathangamache.com/projects/detroit-pulse/)

A solo project that turns public scanner radio for metro Detroit into a live incident map, with local Whisper transcription, a local language model with a LoRA adapter I trained, and a correlation engine that groups transmissions into incidents.

Technologies: Python, Whisper, Local LLMs, QLoRA, React

[View project: Detroit Pulse: Live Incident Map from Scanner Radio](https://www.nathangamache.com/projects/detroit-pulse/)

Lead developer · Perfect Afternoon

### [Corrigan Companies](https://www.nathangamache.com/projects/corrigan/)

One WordPress multisite and one theme for 11 company sites. I wrote the development scope, set up the environments, moved the network between servers, and launched four of its five live sites.

Technologies: WordPress, Multisite, DNS, Performance

[View project: Corrigan Companies](https://www.nathangamache.com/projects/corrigan/)

Lead developer · Perfect Afternoon

### [Terminal Supply Co](https://www.nathangamache.com/projects/terminal-supply/)

The theme, the product importer and every category import for their WooCommerce rebuild, both sides of a REST integration with their AS400, and storefront features like catalog-wide tiered pricing.

Technologies: WooCommerce, AS400, PHP, Data imports

Developer · Perfect Afternoon

### [Cottage Inn Pizza](https://www.nathangamache.com/projects/cottage-inn/)

I built their new theme from the client’s designs and launched it in 2026, rebuilt the Punchh rewards integration from the ground up, and look after the Yext location pages and a rewritten store finder.

Technologies: WordPress, Punchh, Yext, JavaScript

## How I got here

I started out on the staff of a Minecraft server, as a moderator and then an administrator. Since 2022 I have been building sites for clients.

### Lead Developer

Perfect Afternoon, Mar 2026 – Present (current)

I lead development at the agency, with a focus on taking manual work off the team. The biggest piece so far is PANoodle, the AI operations platform I invented and built.

### WordPress Developer

Perfect Afternoon, Jun 2022 – Mar 2026

I took agency client sites from scoping through development, QA and launch, and then stayed on to keep them fast and patched.

### Founder

Gamache Technology Solutions, Feb 2024 – Present (current)

Independent consulting and development, and CatalogXpert, a venture with JDW Ventures that I co-founded. My main client is SJD Taxi, where I turned an unfinished replacement for their 2015 booking system into a working one, partly through my Perfect Afternoon work.

### Moderator, then Administrator

The Outpost, 2019 – 2022

I rose from player to moderator on a Minecraft server with about 10,000 players over the years, and later came back as one of its administrators.
